Philosophy

Every design decision in VeritMeet serves one goal: bringing online relationships back to the real world.

  • Use it, then leave. The goal is not time-on-app but a real meeting. The app is the convener and the aftermath of offline relationships, not the destination.
  • The activity is a first-class citizen. Everything revolves around five stages: create → gather → show up → reflect → settle.
  • No activity, no message. There is no “find someone to chat with” entry; communication is anchored to the activity lifecycle.
  • Call each other. Deep conversation is guided out of the product; there is nowhere online to linger.
  • The world is built by its users. No feed, no recommendation algorithm, no topic plaza — only primitives (groups, activities, reflections) for communities to combine.
  • A server is a territory. Each server is its own social world with its own rules and culture, like a Minecraft server.
  • Low-friction creation. A small set of highly composable primitives, resisting feature bloat.
  • No infinite feed, no profile browsing — structurally removing the possibility of “scrolling” and “browsing”.
  • The public group directory offers exact / prefix search only: to find a group you already know of. No recommendations, no leaderboards, no plaza.
  • No third-party analytics: if you’re not on the list, you shouldn’t be tracked.

Servers can be officially hosted or self-hosted, and they are functionally identical — you can export everything and leave at any time. The official side keeps only the minimum public information, with three published data boundaries. See Privacy & Security.
