Features
VeritMeet is an activity tool with content sharing, not an instant messenger. It doesn’t chase message volume — it gets one activity done, end to end.
Five stages
From a one-line invitation to a shared memory that stays.
1
Create
Any member can start an activity, aiming for under 5 minutes. Minimal time, place and notes — no questionnaires, no fees.
2
Gather
One-tap “going”, auto roster, overflow to waitlist. Status is fully transparent; cancel frees a seat and promotes the waitlist.
3
Show up
On-site check-in via tap or a rotating code. Check-in only counts when you’re physically there.
4
Reflect
The only content space: photos, videos and notes, end-to-end encrypted and visible only to those who were there.
5
Settle
After the activity, everything is archived into the group home; discussion becomes read-only — your community’s own album.
An activity tool, not an IM
With free chat removed, communication narrows to two forms, both anchored to activities.
Organizer announcements
One-way broadcast with strong push — reschedules and cancellations always reach attendees.
Activity discussion
Temporary coordination during the activity; archived read-only afterwards, so no extra group chat grows.
Co-presence friends
Only those who checked in together offline can add each other, then exchange phone numbers by mutual consent.
A server is your territory
One server software — official hosting is just its first deployment form.
Hosting and self-hosting are equivalent
Official hosting is a cost-plus subscription; self-hosting is identical, and you can export and migrate your data back home at any time.
Single binary, low barrier
Embedded storage, no external dependencies — runs on an entry-level VPS or a Raspberry Pi; backup equals copying a file.
Layered identity, optional official
A key pair is your identity and works offline; online mode uses the official registry for unified handles, offline mode involves it not at all.
